Post-Operative Turbinates |

To Post-Operative Patients:
These are some brief instructions
that should answer most of your questions during your post-operative
period. We have a 24-hour answering service that will notify
Dr. Payton and/or Dr. Murry or Dr. Roediger after hours regarding
questions, concerns or emergencies. The office number is 797-5753.

The doctor will
give you a prescription for 5 days of Prednisone to reduce swelling
in your nose. |
|
Use saline nasal
spray frequently, 6-8 times a day, to keep the nose moist and
to wash away scabs. |
|
Two to three times
a day for the first 7-10 days, place antibiotic ointment, such
as Neosporin® or Bacitracin® , in
the nose to keep the scabs soft. |

Notify our office
of any bleeding problems. |
